unionstogether locally

unionstogether works hard to strengthen links between the Party and the unions at a local level.

We want to see vibrant, active Constituency Labour Parties (CLPs), with unions and trade union members actively involved in decision-making and in campaigning.

Every CLP is encouraged to elect a TULO Officer, to take on the role of building links with local trade unions. unionstogether provides support and resources to help build meaningful two-way partnerships between local Labour Parties and trade unions. We help CLPS to:

• run campaigns to recruit union members to the Party
• work with unions to campaign on issues of shared concern
• involve union members in campaigning for Labour
• get more union branches affiliated to CLPs, to increase union involvement.
