Previously the Regional Director for the East Midlands Labour Party, Roy is now the Labour Party’s Director of Finance and Compliance.

Roy is delighted to have been selected as a candidate for the 2009 European elections. He knows that it is only Labour MEPs that are working hard for the people of the East Midlands.

Roy says:

Thanks to European funding the East Midlands has benefited from regeneration projects, help for local community groups and help for people to get back into work. Labour knows how important these projects are and how they have helped many vulnerable people.

I would like to see this support continue as I know how important it is, that’s why I am standing in the 2009 elections, because I want to fight for fairness for the East Midlands. I want to ensure that we are represented by MEPs that will stand up for what is right for the East Midlands and its people.
