Born in Aberdeen and brought up in the Scottish Borders, Kirsty currently lives in Glasgow with her partner.

She is a final-year honours student in Economics and Politics at the University of Glasgow and works as a parliamentary researcher.

She is the Young Labour representative on Scottish Labour’s Executive Committee and National Policy Forum. Her hobbies include theatre and golf.
