IT'S CRIMINAL: Email your MP now to protect the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme

For thousands of injured victims of crime, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme is a lifeline, providing at least some compensation when they need to take time off work due to their injuries or the trauma they suffer in an attack.

Now the Government are proposing to deny any compensation to half of seriously injured victims of crime and to all those who suffer dog attacks. They will also plan to cut the payments of a further 40% of victims, including those most seriously injured and the dependants of victims of homicide.

These plans will come to Parliament on 1 November.
