Why you joined
The trade union movement is based on the principle of unity.
By standing together, on behalf of working people, trade unions can work to make sure their members get a fair deal.
Every single day, thousands of ordinary people are helped out by their union. On average, pay is around 8% higher in unionised workplaces.
Many of the working rights that we sometimes take for granted only exist because union members campaigned for them – and they are still campaigning for a fairer deal for their members.
But why did you join?
